Forgotten Secrets: Escape Room (Demo ver)

You have finally done it!!

The temple is open for you to explore, solve all the puzzles and uncover the secrets hidden on this ancient temple that has been closed to all the explorers for decades!

Decipher mechanisms, get treasures and unlock all the rooms on this escape room game inspired by MC2Games escape rooms! Such as Tested on Humans, Palyndrome Syndrome and Regular Factory!

The controls are simple

W,A,S,D to move your character

Esc to open the pause menu

Left Click to interact with the environment 

This demo is a pre-concept test to check if the game is of sufficient interest to the community and if it is worth completing its development and subsequent release on steam. The game has been solo-developed by Néstor Piedra from SteamyCup Games.

Hints for puzzles [Spoilers]

First Floor

The first 2 puzzles will unlock the ladders, both of this puzzles are simple interaction puzzles, you will find the solutions below:

• The one on the left needs to align the wooden stick vertically so it can fall inside the hole and unlock the mechanism.
• The one on the right needs the buttons to be pressed on a certain order, you will find the order on the table at the center of the room.

Second Floor

Once you get up to the second floor, you will be presented with a table with 9 buttons, this is a LightsOut! puzzle!

• The most straight-forward solution is first start with the 4 corners and finally press the center piece.

Right Room

On the right side of the temple, a room will be opened, in order to solve the puzzle presented you must "clone" the drawing on the floor on the table, it is a simplified version of the Mayan Glyph for the word "Sun".

 This will unlock a little room with a golden totem inside as well as the other room.

From here you can choose if take the totem or continue to the next room.

Left Room

The second room will present you some wood sticks with dots under them, you need to interact with the sticks until they create the provided pattern for each table. The stick stucked represents the number 1 and the stick completely out represernts the number 4. You should be able to solve it easily once discovered this!

Once you have decoded the wooden sticks puzzle, a second totem will be available to get. 

Finishing the Demo

Grab both totems and place them into the mechanisms located in both sides of the last door, which will be opened once you've done this step!
